Travelling the Oregon Coast with Kids? Here is a suggested packing list!

Travelling the Oregon Coast with Kids? Here is a suggested packing list!

We thought we would share what we are packing in our Suitcase for travelling the Oregon Coast with Kids!

I am guessing everyone is packing the essentials camera, money, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, bug spray and everyday clothing. But here are some other items which came in handy:

  1. Sweater or hoodie - we wore one almost every day to start the day!

  2. Raincoat - the weather is so drastic on the coast, you will encounter fog, rain, sun and storms!

  3. Water Shoes - this was a blessing suggested to us. We ordered ours from Amazon, and we used these almost every day!

  4. Types of Shoes - good walking shoes or hiking shoes and a pair of flip flops or sandals We did not pack rain boots! Our water shoes worked as our rain shoes.

  5. Mini First-Aid Kit - bandaids, Tylenol or Advil and gravol. With climbing, rocks and rough terrain bumps and bruises will happen. Some of the roads have twist and turns so gravol comes in handy!

  6. Water bottle - good to stay hydrated and save the earth one bottle at a time!

  7. Tide Table – pick one up at a local Oregon Coast store or check here.

  8. A goodie bag - you never know what treasures your kids might find! Since we still have to fly home, we limited the kids' treasures to one large ziplock freezer bag each.

What do you think - did we forget to add something to our Suitcase? Let us know, and we will add it for next time!
